I want to research illustrators via different medias such as programmes, books and the internet. I want to look at the different approaches artists have when they’re creating the work they do, how they achieve the different styles they have and then focus on artists of which I feel the particular style would suit me and my project well.

Primary research will be vital in my project so I need to make sure I know what I want from my primary research, what it will be used for and I have a clear plan to achieve this.

I want to research and analyse zines/fanzines, the overall aesthetic, running theme and the content. I will research art zines and music fanzines, particularly if they’re focused on a singular band, as this is what my work will be. Articles and write-ups alike about up coming bands would be really useful to research too.

My project schedule will hold a rough time frame with small objectives I want to complete every week. It will ensure I keep on task throughout my project. It will be very useful for me to use to refer back on so I never get lost throughout the project.

My brother is in an up and coming band, I’d like to create some art work whether this is in the form of: a zine, a documentation of a new band or through song visualisation. I’d like my work to express the band as a whole through the work and build up an image that could maybe one day become part of a brand.

Every week I will write myself a set of weekly targets giving me weekly updates on my progress. I will add to this post every week with another weekly progress sheet until I finish my project. They will display everything I have done over each week, what I didn’t do and how much time I have each week to complete the tasks set.
