So after realising I needed to work from photos, (which incidentally is how Peter Arkle creates all of his work, so I should’ve realised from the start) I gathered some further primary research. These photos aren’t supposed to be anything special, they’re not stand alone photos, they’re merely tools to work with.

Peeches Interview
A small interview with the band with questions written by me. It will be written up as a feature in my zine. I would’ve liked to have been there but I unfortunately ran out of time both times I made my visits down! However, I think it’s still think the interview went very well and fits the breif perfectly. The only thing that would’ve been an advantage having been there, would’ve been delving deeper into certain answers, having more of a conversation. But for my purposes this should be great!
Second Set of Primary Research
After the first set of primary research didn’t go to plan I realised I would have to go out for a second time. This time I wanted to capture some personality in the photographs, I thought this was very important. A bands personality is an important thing so if I could display this through the zine it’d be great. There was lots of natural light unlike the other set which was very artificial and dim.
I basically followed them round for a portion of the day and took loads of photos of them enjoying themselves, talking or cracking jokes, the results are miles better than the first ones. These photos can definitley be used in the zine.

I stood in on a recording session in Tom’s flat, very professional! However the photo’s didn’t go to plan so I will have to collect more imagery and learn from my mistake the second time round.
My first set of primary source in my opinion are unusable. Everything about them from the unwanted clutter to the lack of light is not great. It was very clear that without extensive editing (even then they might not be useable) I would definitely be needing further primary source.
