Before I went to the computer to digitally alter and design my pieces, I wanted to have a rough idea of what i wanted to achieve through my digital progression. These are a few rough scribbles I did just to get ideas out of my head and onto paper.

Before I went to the computer to digitally alter and design my pieces, I wanted to have a rough idea of what i wanted to achieve through my digital progression. These are a few rough scribbles I did just to get ideas out of my head and onto paper.

Once I had my final set of primary research, I chose the photos/objects I liked and opened these in photoshop. I wanted to eventuate the shadows using levels, although they look awful on screen, it would make a lot it a lot easier for me to draw.

After an extensive talk with my tutors during the mid project review I decide to take a different aesthetic approach within my work as it was escalating into something I originally thought of as a good path. However I now realise it would’ve resulted in something that I was trying to stay away from with boyband headshots and cliches.
For this reason, I decided not to use the existing primary research I had completed and instead focused on the illustration side of my initial idea.
