After much experimentation, tweaking elements until I’m happy with them, these are my final designs. They will be displayed in a set. The production process was a long winded process with lots of decisions along the way, but I have got to a point that I’m happy with my designs.
I think it’s essential my designs are presented as a set as it makes them appear more than what they are. in the sense that as singular pieces of work they don’t stand out and if I was to produce just one of these it would seem that I didn’t explore the songs and the band in depth. Where as with the set it starts to create a theme and therefore an image of the band.
The fact that their isn’t any images of the people in the band within the work is really different in this day and age of music, this is why I changed direction.
If I was to produce this work again I would definitely screen print my work, due to the set of colours I used I think they would really benefit from screen printing. It would be very doable as I only used a few colours. I would have to manage my time differently as I didn’t have enough time to screen print.
Over all I really like them.
I need to decided which piece goes where. Next is to decide how I will exhibit it and what method I will use to display it during the exhibition.
