Throughout my production stage I took screenshots of my work and how it developed from a simple illustration into my final piece.

This is my very first compositional experimentation, after I had drawn all of my objects I scanned them in. My original document size was A3. I used colour overlay to change the colour from black on my illustrations I thought this worked with the pink colour I stole from the bido lito magazines. However I knew I needed a different approach so I decided to develop another idea in my initial roughs.

FINAL DESIGNS

After much experimentation, tweaking elements until I’m happy with them, these are my final designs. They will be displayed in a set. The production process was a long winded process with lots of decisions along the way, but I have got to a point that I’m happy with my designs.

Composition, Colour and Texture

To me the colour was the most important decision of all, I believe this can make up a persons mind at a glance as to what type of band you are. Colours radiate different emotions and it was very important to choose a colour I would be happy with the band being associated with. This is the main reason I wanted to research colour theory. With this in depth research and experimentation I eventually chose my final set of colours. I also experiment with composition and texture below, all building up to create my final body of work.
